About

A team of us from Bristol Street Motors Vauxhall in Knaresborough will be taking on the challenge of a 21-mile coastal walk (in a day) on the 15th September from Scarborough to Whitby. We have decided to do this to raise money for the Candlelighters charity, an amazing charity which supports children and their families with cancer.

Our aftersales manager Paul, and his family only know too well how this effects families. Kasper was diagnosed with a rare brain Tumour back when he was 2 years old. Kasper had a swollen head and a sudden loss of appetite when his parents Paul and Emma became worried. They took him to hospital and within hours he was rushed in for emergency surgery, then spent two months in an intensive care unit on a ventilator. During his time in hospital, Kapser has endured sixteen operations, eight MRI scans, up to 20 CT scans, 16 rounds of chemotherapy, and he only returned home a handful of times during his period in hospital.

Without the support of Candlelighters the time spent in hospital would have been unbearable for his parents.

Kasper is still having chemotherapy treatment, once every 4 weeks and the family still get support from Candlelighters. On top of this, Kapser's brothers, Dad and Mum have been seperatly supported in different ways by the charity.

We hope to raise as much as possible to give back to a great charity.
