My Story

Each year, over 150 children in Yorkshire are diagnosed with cancer.

On the 10th October 2016 my son Zeke was one of those 150 children, from day 1 Candlelighters were at his bedside supporting not only him but all those around him, from sweet trolleys and massages on the wards to the dance parties and games in the Pavillion or even just a cup of coffee and a quiet place to sit at the Square, Candlelighters provided it all and I want to help make sure that continues for anyone that needs it.

So im going to be running the Great North Run in September, Ive never been a big distance runner and have certainly never ran this kind of distance before so all your donations and support will be a great motivation for me while I'm panting my way to the finish. The average time for the run is 2h15m so I am aiming to beat that and am ambitiously hoping for under 2 hours.
